Over the last few years my interests had shifted into balloon tire bicycles so I hadn't been active on the HAMB For quite some time. A month ago my family and I found out were being relocated to TX with work (Seguin) and found a house in Marion; actually closer to New Braunfels. Since I am leaving my extended family, and friends behind in IL; I was wondering if there are an HAMB members in the area.

You'll be real close to the drag strip and you can bring that Chrysler up to Austin for the Round-Up.

Welcome to Texas. Born and raised here. Lots to to do here. I live about 7 hours northwest of you but you'll enjoy the weather and car culture in our state.

I'm in Houston and there are lots of HAMBers in Texas. You are in a great location, New Braunsfels has a world class waterpark and San Antonio is a hot bed of rodding activity. I have an old friend in Pearland, Texas that restores old Cushmans and there are many active clubs in the area. Shiner Bock beer is local and the BBQ is wonderful.
You might miss your friends but you won't miss the Illinois Winters.

  7. I'm from that area, but in San Diego for work. Live off of 46 on the Guadalupe, when I can get home. Not much going on in New Braunfels on a regular basis, but there is the New Braunfels Swap Meet & Car Show http://www.newbraunfelscarclub.com/swap-meet.php. There used to be some informal cruising going on at the Forum (IH-35 and Loop 1604), and not far from there is Biff Busby's Burgers (IH-35 and Topperwine Rd.). They have a Friday Nite cruise. Check these links for more info.... http://www.southtexascc.com/schedule.htm,
