Technical Mallory YA Distributor

Hey guys so I just picked up a Mallory ya type 11 distributor for my banger. But it’s missing the cap and it needs rebuilt. Anybody on here have any insight on these?

Not familiar with the YA-11, but ran a Mallory Unilite in my 302 Ford for over 10 years with absolutely no issues. Always carried an extra module, cap and rotor with me, but never had to use them..

 

@GMC BUBBA was the go to guy. He has retired after a health issue but is still active on here. Might ask his advice on the Mallory.

 

Can't you just use a V-8 cap and leave every other hole empty?

 

Sure just dremel the contact off inside and fill the extra hole with black rtv etc ,,,works like a champ . be carefull picking the blank hole mark where the oints open and kill the next hole etc ....
