After years of frustration watching American Racing fail trying to "repo" their famous older style 200s wheels, I have determined it's time to experiment trying to make my own to match the old style. Yes, the older ones are for sale here and there at super high prices, and they still need restored sometimes. They offer the super high polished versions and the versions that are a darker gray painted spokes with polished lip. (Both are great looking wheels and I don't mean to offend anyone that uses them-but I just want the older style ones that's all). The older wheels had a machined semi polished? lip with a cast look center spokes with either a light gold tint or as cast. I liked the light gold tint wheels which is shown on the back of my old 55. The front wheels may have had the light gold tint, and it came off I don't remember. Can the new 200s wheels be bought with machined lip and as cast center spokes? Perhaps the spokes could be sand blasted and lightly painted the "correct" color? Let's here if from the experts if they have done it? Who has experimented and let's hear some history of the 200s wheels. The new 200s painted can be custom ordered with 15x6 up to 15x14! I would like to find a mint set of the old style 15x6 and 15x10 in Chevy BC THANKS, Kurt
