i agree.. i always keep this in mind when building. Your truck doesnt need much changing.. i really like the look it has now.

  5. mines not really a custom . the chop, channel and section and rear end narrowed 10 inches are all ploys to cut wind resistance for better mileage. I've retained the 3/4 ton rear leaf springs and a stout hitch receiver. 331 cad with tri-power for for better towing on hills. kept the truck 4 speed for down hill braking and low speed pulling for draging rusty hulks out of ditches. utility boxes for sneaking beer into events

There is a black and white photo of a black chevy 3100 truck with caddy rear fenders with a spare mount on the side of the bed, nicely lowered with all matching hubcaps, and a smoking blonde in the pic floating around. I love that truck, I will build one like it one day.I wish I could fint the picture, it may have been in an car craft or hot rod mag for a few years ago.

  9. Rear fender skirts and a Merc front end would do it for me.

Ditto. Your truck is perfect! If you must, try to match up those rear fenders, or do a complete paint job.

  11. Durable paint, bed liner, trailer hitch... Easily cleanable seats and steering wheel (you will be sweaty and greasy after you load an engine in the back)...

Except you can't paint it dark blue and leave the hood off... :D
