Seriously man your skills are incredable. But my stock steel fenders must be worth about a grand each judging by the time you have invested in this one. That being said, I have nothing but respect for you abilities.

The 38 fenders i restored for the Pepsi truck, one took 24 hrs to restore, was in bad shape.

    so 24 x$60 per hr = $1440

your fender is probably worth a grand if its a 38 truck fender,if you can find one.Only fiberglass ones are available.

    so 1440 + 1000 =$2440

  22. I dont own any VW stuff any more but I still read your threads on the SAMBA. It cracks me up when people try to tell you how to do your job.

Keep on posting, you are definitely an automotive artisan.

The baileigh bead roller is an electric model.

Baileigh do not set any tools for the bead roller, but Mittler bros. do

here's the link.Last one on the page 45 deg step roll

    http://www.mittlerbros.com/index.ph...s/standard-step-roll-sets/step-roll-sets.html

  26. Thanks Baileigh does have some roll sets now. Not nearly the selection of Mittler Bros though. Do you find you use the 45 degree one a lot or do you get more use out of a conventional 90 degree step roll?

  28. Thanks I really appreciate the advice. I noticed a pickup cab with a louvered back panel in the background of one of the 914 build pictures do you have a thread on that?
