I want to wheel up a 18ga roof insert to fill my roof. Any tips on how to go about making one ? I've got an English wheel, shrinker/stretcher, bead roller , two sheets of steel and some ambition. I was told this panel needs to be butt welded with torch or TIG only. I also saw a video technique where two panels over lapped and a thin cut off wheel used to make the cut where after cutting the discarded portions were pulled back and tacks welds were made. Process continued completely around the roof. Any used this technique or have any info pics? What rolling pattern should I use to wheel the insert? What type of wood should I make the new ribs out of or should I use metal ? TIA Leon
Go to Walden speed shop and watch part 20 of the 32 chop. Great info there. Here is a link https://www.waldenspeedshop.com/media
