I want to pick up a set of ET Gassers with the as-cast centers. Before I order I just wanted to ask are these going to corrode or get funky in the part I can’t polish? The car will be garaged it’s just sometimes the car will “sweat” with temp changes and I have to keep up with polishing it. Roadsters.com says use some type of penetrating oil on them. Will they be fine? What should I expect?

I think the answer depends almost entirely on what kind of chemicals you have in the air where you live. How do other aluminum parts last? for example under the hood of a late model car

  3. You could seal the unfinished surface with a satin clear.

all of our gasser wheels in the as cast finish , have a paint applied to the spokes os it is sealed and is easy to clean. A little meguires on the lip and you are done.
