Maine in June the 18th and 19th! Looking like a great weekend to head North! Two great event, Maybe three. On saturday there is the gassah flag start event at Winterport an awsome old school 1/8th mile track and day 1 of the owls head show, and Sunday the 19th is also a hot rod show at the museum.

I am also thinking about throwning a lil cruze night saturday evening at my Mom's diner (Nana's kitchen http://www.nanasgoodeats.com/ ) thats located right in between the track and the show on RT 1. Anyone have any thoughts on going or are going and would come to a cruze night?

My car wont even be close to finished, but I'd love to see the Winterport drags at the very least. Always love a chance to meet more HAMBers too.

Sigh. June seems so far away right now.

I'm in a punkabilly band, The Outsiders...pretty much cross The Ramones and The Stray Cats with a dash of the Clash and you've got us. Always entertaining... www.myspace.com/theoutsiders

Sounds like fun! I'll almost definitely hit up the Winterport drags!

You got nothing on Tuesday, go to Dysarts Truck Stop and have the trucker's breakfast.

Also, June is black fly season. Avon makes a product called Skin So Soft, black flys hate it and you won't smell like deet and it works better than deet. I used to live in Rangeley, so you know it was field tested like a mofo there.

Ainsle's always has nice cars there, and they seem to vary quite a bit from week to week.. and gassers at Winterport is always fun (Whitaker's old English panel is a hoot to watch!)
Any one have a chance to post some Winterport pics here? For those who've never been there, it's a "traditional" WWII fighter base turned dragstrip. How many are left in the nation!?
