Hey guys this is my Buick shortly after getting her home. Note the custom fuel tank being drained by a handy electric pump under the hood to the carb. I wish I could tell you that the smoke is burning rubber roiling off the tires...but it's just burning oil! Gimme a break, this is her first trip down the street since 1975. Rock on you stubborn nailhead!!
Congratulations! Don't panic about the smoke. Give it some time. My flatty started out as a moskito smoke machine after a long sleep, but it settled down and has been fine. I really dig the 55-56 Buicks and Olds.
Hehe, reminds me of the first time I drove my 60 Buick. Definately fun, and I won't ever forget the trip to the gas station.
haha! That's too awesome man... that's the way to do it. Old cars always give you stories to tell down the line. Good luck with 'er...
Park a late model for 29 years and see if it starts. I love my late model, but I wouldn't trust it to start after 29 years with minor work. Thats awesome. -Dane
