Loved the story and the photos. Congratulations on what seems like a darn good marriage.
Aug 16,1969 was a good time to get married! My bride and I are celebrating our 50th today also!! Congrats to you and your bride.
Congratulations to the both of you. It takes two for sure.

Yep , 1969 was a good year for us also !! February 1st was the day. I can't find the picture with my wife and my 40 coupe , so this one with our new 1969 Camaro will have to suffice. Later Bill
50 years --- now that's traditional congratulations to you and your's
Congratulations. A costly gift anniversary for sure, but you've had plenty of notice of its coming!
Hope many more years to the both of you
Heartiest congratulations to you and your bride. You have joined a selective club! Miss Linda and I celebrated 53 years in July, having eloped in 1966 after two weeks of knowing each other. Young people today seem to be incredulous that people stay married a half century or more. I watch the faces of the young nurses at the home when I visit my wife and they learn how long we have been together. Too bad that what was normal when we were young is now an anomaly. God bless you and grant you many more anniversaries.
Congratulations,My bride and I are going on 51 years!
Well that is the secret to a long marriage right there folks . . . simply refuse to quit. Of course, both must refuse to quit. There are times when you find yourselves on the wrong side of the river and you wonder can you ever get back to the good side? Well you can, but only if you don't give up.
Congratulations @Mr48chev ! Quite an accomplishment.
Thanks for sharing and congratulations, it looks like you two are together forever and after 50 years neither one of you would try to change the other one! Congratulations again!
Congratulations! My wife and I were married a week later... on her birthday!
It also happened to be her parents 21st anniversary! They married one year and had her one year later on the same day!
We left on our honeymoon in my 67 GTO. She has been quite supportive of my automotive habit over all our years together. Yep, I'm a lucky guy!
Congratulations! Happy 50th! You all are inspiring to those of us who still have a ways to go!

Good Eye The W-31 Belonged to Rick Danzi (now owner of Danzi brothers wrecker salesin Shelbyville DE) who grew up in silver Springs MD The Cutlass in the lower photo was mine. Those photos were taken in 1969 at Lake Belton in Texas.
Ricks dad was the manager of Paul Brothers Oldsmobile in Washington DC and he sent Rick the early order info for the Cutlasses. He ordered a W-31. W-31 was out of my budget I just ordered the Cutlass S (no scoops) with the 310 hp 350R M-21 and 12 bolt 3.42 posi. only other option was an AM-FM multiplex radio. I ordered mine though Williams and Swanson in Renton, WA
No big celebration (so far) as the kids had to work but we went out to one of our favorite restaurants for a quiet dinner.
