Just tooting my own horn a bit ... had 53Deluxe.com contact me and wanted to post my coupe as car of the week. I thought that was pretty cool, and felt honored that someone thought enough of my car to feature it. http://www.53deluxe.com/everything-else/1439/31-ford-model-a/
Hey Kamp, Its Todd from 53deluxe. Glad to have your ride as our feature it bad ass... I wish you would have sent me a pic of the intake...its sick.
Kamp , Congrats ! That is one sweet ride ! Glad to see you used a great Ford engine in it too . BTW , who made that intake ? I would love to have one for my 50 Ford I am going to build . That engine really looks wicked ! Retro Jim
from the article: Hes running a 289 Ford fully rebuilt with lots of goodies such as forged pistons, Schneider roller cam, Keystone valve covers, a Ronco Magneto, and a Man-A-Fre intake w/ 4 Rochester 2Jets on top of polished 2 spacers from Dashman. Owner built headers with Obrien Trucker caps dump into custom RLS Racing 2 exhaust with glass-packs. awesome ride. congrats
Thanks guys - yeah, it's a ManAFre intake... and the only one I've ever seen for a SBF. I had to run the 2" spacers to clear the magneto, but it worked out and I think it looks good with the carbs up a bit anyway.
Go ahead and blow your horn,,rarely do most of us get his car featured in print,,congratulations. HRP
Thanks for the kind words everybody! It means a lot to me. Here's a couple more of the intake.... kind of wish I'd have placeed the radiator support rods up higher on the firewall, might have to redo those at some point. (It's not quite as bad as this picture makes them look)
Here's a little clip of what the intake looks like from the back in the opening of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHCv4HbHNaY I had to watch the video to see what the back of your car looked like, I didn't see it too much on the road. Congrats on the feature!!
