Projects Made a little Hercules progress today

Hey Cactus! Yeah, I'm trying to get back on it. Saw your hill climb video, looked like some crazy fun!

 

Here's a little before and after, working on door jambs and side panels.

Hey Bruce! Yes the frame is off to the side. I've got the truck completely apart right now for final welding and paint/detailing.

 

Roof will have a removable insert

Thought I'd share my "headliner" solution. This is the underside of the roof, I wanted to cover the ugly plywood.




After.


I've since covered the shiney screws. I've been weathering the new woodwork on the cab with a "witches brew" ebonizing technique I learned about. I start with quebracho tea, then while the wood is still damp I follow with vinegar that's had steel wool soaking in it for at least a week. Gives the new wood a nice old, black weathered look.

 

Vinyl roof almost done, glad to have this behind me!
