  7. So...Here's a rendering of another one of my off the wall concepts. It's a Henry J with a bit of El Camino influence. It might not be big enough to hall much cargo but with a SB 327 Chev it should really hall ass. I've dubbed it the El Henry (loose translation...The Henry)

  17. Thanks Mark. I liked your cozy coupe too. We granddads do get carried away. I took this picture of my grandson yesterday. I got this 37 pedal car, 38 years ago. I gave a farmer $5. for it. Used it for both my daughters, and my three grandkids too. 20171122_165020.jpg

Apparently few people saw last week's show and I don't have anything else to share so I'll repost this.

    Hello,

Junior Thompson was a Gas Coupe & Sedan favorite of ours ever since we saw him race at Lions with his driving skills in a Hemi powered, street roadster. When he drove his 41 black, Studebaker Sedan against all racers, it was impressive.

The 41 Studebaker and 41 Willys purple coupe, were fast, but the detailing that went on both cars was an inspiration. Not only were they built well, the small details made us think about how a race car should be set up. Get it running well first, then detail it to the finish or get it built, finished and then race…

We tried to showcase our cars as much as two backyard teenagers could with the limited budgets. But, we needed an inspiration and Jr. Thompson was it.

    Jnaki

After our 40 Willys build and explosion in 1960, we were discussing what to do next. With Jr. Thompson’s next build of a 41 purple Willys, that crept up in our discussions as to what ours would look like next.

A great looking paint job, small pinstriping flames on the fenders and trunk. Also, highlighting the names on the doors...and fast.
