It is time once again for our annual Reliabilty Run.

Here is the info from the flier.

    4th Annual
    Northern California Reliability Run
Labor Day Weekend Sunday September 6th

You are invited to take your 1940 and earlier
Traditional Hot Rod, Custom, or Classic on a
150 mile Endurance Run through Northern California.

We will meet at 7:30 am and leave by 8:00 am

We will take some of the best back roads through Northern California. You will be given directions the morning of the run
and we'll provide coffee and donuts at the start. Once again,
we will stop for lunch midday and have a chance to catch up with each other. To end the day, we will have a
few drinks at one of our favorite watering holes.
This is an Endurance Run and will be over 150 miles.
Depending on how fast you drive and how much you stop,
this run could take most of your day. Bring a full tank of gas
and some cash for your lunch and drinks. Other than that, this event is FREE! It will cost you enough in gas these days,
so how could anyone charge you to drive on open roads?

If you would rather Drive your car than sit in a parking lot,
I can guarantee that you will have a great day.

Come put your car to the test.

If you are interested in going, please contact me
and I will tell you where we are meeting.

Dave from the Lucky Bastards Car Club

I have to say that I drove most of the run last weekend and it is probably the hardest run I have ever been on. So I hope you guys are up for it. You will never forget some of this run if you make it.

Also there is a car show the day before in Santa Rosa, put on by the Dirty Jerks. so if you are coming from out of town you could hit both.

The starting spot is not a secret, I am just trying to get a head count by asking people to contact me for the starting spot.

So how about a if you are coming post a pic of what your driving.
here is a pic from this year run to come.

and what I'll be driving on the top of one of the mountains we will be climbing

    One question is:
in may there was a run for post war cars at the same time as the pre war.

since the car show is the day before I am wondering if you guys with post 1940 car want to go on a separate run that ends up at the same bar/ restaraunt?

If so I have a buddy that will lead it, it would be less miles and start later in the morning so you all can sleep in.

let me know if you want to go.

Just Added, the Hangover Tour for cars up to 1965. see post on page two.

    thanks

I'll be there again. Can't wait, probably the funnest event of the year!!
I'll most likely be driving my '29 model A roadster pickup, but I'm thinking about bringing the '37 LaSalle, but I think it might be to big to have some real fun with on the country roads.

What constitutes Post war? I'v got a '64 Coupe Deville that was a barn find and I want to put some miles on it before I head down to Billetproof in a few weeks. This sounds like a great way to do it... Too new?

Anything built after 1945 is "post-war" since its after WWII.

Looks like an awesome run, maybe next year I can run the '37. :D. If I'm anywhere close to done by then.

Got that part, I guess what I should have asked is whats the cutoff for post war? Some car shows cut it off at 64, some 65 some 60. Would love to bring the 40' Pontiac to this, but as its a reliability run, it would probably test the reliability of my patience more than anything else.

That makes more sense, sorry about that!

Funny how that works isn't it? The reliability of my patience gets tested all the time by my fleet of '72 and older vehicles...

this "post war" run will cut off the same year as the show the day before........1965
and to clarify it should be post 1940, as the reliability run is 1940 and earlier.

so come out and drive your shit.

I went a drove the post 1940 run yesterday, I think you will have fun. about a 2 1/2 hour drive, and you can have lunch and drinks at the end.

lazy v8, glad to here it, that is a great car.

Right on, thats good news. Thats the same day as our company picnic, and personally I'd rather hang out with a bunch of old iron and gearheads than those toolbags. Redbeard I'll email you for the starting point. Thanks...
