    Hi all,

I need some advice on what oil types and grades to run in my rebuilt driveline please.

1955 Chevy 235ci straight 6 - I've been told to go for 20W-50. Is that ok?

1985 Brog Warner T5 NWC - what do I use? Is it true that I should add some regular SAE 30 in there along with the trans fluid?

GM 12 bolt axle - no lsd. - What grade?

    All advice grategully recieved.

    Many thanks,
    Mark.

  2. trans use syncromesh trans fluid or auto trans fluid
    12 bolt diff gear lube

  3. SAE 30, no detergent oil in a 235 unless it's converted to a full flow oil filter. You don't want it loosening up crap in there because there's no place for it to go, and even if it has a factory filter it's a bypass filter and does not filter all of the oil.
