Projects lowering independent single leaf front end?

not really sure what the correct term for my suspension is. it has a single leaf spring with A arms. its on a '48 Studebaker Starlight.

anyways, im wanting to drop the front of my car a couple inches (if possible) … how would i go about this? what issues might i have if i do it? is it possible to use a mono leaf spring like sold at Speedway motors (as well as other vendors)?

advice (please no sub-framing tips)
