I'm assembling my full fender-ed 33 5W coupe and realize that it's about 5 inches to high in the rear. I could take the springs out take them to the spring shop, have them heated and de-arched but I'm wondering if someone makes a flatter spring to do the job. I might not lean towards a single composite spring due the possibility of wrapping. Also, I'd rather not install a huge lowering block or install a coilover kit.

Anyone done this so I don't have to "reinvent the wheel".

    Thanks guys.

Eaton Springs will fix you up. Just Google them.

  3. I used a Posie's Super Slide Rear Leaf Spring Kit #8021 and a mid 90's Chevy S10 two wheel drive 10 bolt rear end for my 33 Chevy Cabriolet. Posie's is located in Pennsylvania and they were easy to work with. It's not complete yet but should sit just right. I do plan to run full fenders and running boards.
