finally got my 54 lowered! I used 3 inch blocks on back and cut 2 coils out of front. also took off dog dish hubcaps and added beauty rings from a 90's gmc pickup. jus need sum chrome lugnuts or maybe sum spidercaps.

Mucho bettero.... Gambino makes a killer set of drop spindles that will complement the cut springs

    Looking good!
How much did cutting the coils actually sit the front down? (inches)
I've taken two off of my 57 springs but haven't gotten everything back together yet to know. When looking for 2" drop springs the MFR told me that they would really only drop a car 1" instead of the advertised 2.

    X-2 on chopping the top.

Looks good, i cut about 2 1/2 coils off the front springs on my 53 dropped it about 2-3 inches, did you cut away your front bumpstops? I left mine on and its pretty much riding on them, so when i hit a big bump it slams pretty good. how will all of the steering and other front end linkage act. If i cut about half of the bumpstops off? im just worried about ruining the all the linkage if i cut them
