My son and I both have Model T bodies on Model A Chassis on our TROG cars. The Model A grille shell is high. We would like to get something lower. We are thinking of going with Whippet shells, but we already needed to trim the fans down. We are looking for ideas.
Shells can be cut. My 28 A shell is cut, I slide bottom up inside top. I'm about 3in. short from stock hight! I use a T-bucket Rad>fits fine, but not as wide as "A" rad,but "T" size rad is shorter then a stock A. Cut is hiding behind frame,so dose not show. Some cut out part of side an weld together.
Agreed^^ Cut your own and put it were you want it. I took 3 inches out of the height of mine and changed the contour to fit my homemade spreader bar...
The body on my Tudor is channeled 3" so the grill being too high to match the cowl so I sectioned it 2''
