    THere it is on one of my old shoeboxes, sprayed OK, was cheap, held up on another car I sprayed with it as well. Would use again.

    If you really want a cheap finish, maybe Rustoleum? :) Like this...

    It's lacquer primer, doesn't hold up all that well to the elements and doesn't protect the metal much either. It can also cause problems for a real paintjob down the road. The solvents in the paint can reactivate the primer and cause alot of problems. One of the first mistakes I made doing body & paint was using this stuff just becuase it was cheap!

    I saw it for $35-$40 dollars a gallon.
