Mind posting pics of the machine itself? Going to build one in the near future and all pics help.

Not sure how far Reading is from Johnstown, but if you're good I've been considering getting 3 rows of louvers punched in my hood sides... I'd imagine you need the paint stripped off first? Another stupid question for you louver guys... does louvering warp the panel at all? My sides are homemade, from flat pieces of sheetmetal with a flange on the top and bottom... quite a bit different from a Rootlieb or I'd probably just buy a new pair of sides pre-punched... but if you can do my existing ones, that might be cool....

Any decent salvage yards down that way? I don't have hardly anything prior to the mid 70s up here due to the flooding.

Thanks for the kind words guys...you have to stop over to the garage soon so we can punch some holes.

The panel has to be taken down to bare metal. I would suggest just having a new set of side panels punched which wouldn't be to bad at all. If you made yours..you can bring a new set by the garage and we can punch em or your existing ones. Let me know

    Hey Guys,
Here are some pics of some of the stuff that I did this past weekend. Attached are some pics of the top of the louvers, the curved profile, the press, and some pics of the T I'm working on.

Nah, mine isn't Ron's old one. I never met Rob but heard he was the guy to take stuff to around here when he was doing them.

Mine was built years ago by a local fabricator/hot rodder named Greg Petronas who has since moved out west somewhere. I got it from the guy who Greg sold it to before he moved. It was sitting in a body shop for years before I got it.

Here's some more punch examples..Someone on a post asked if my die has a rubber insert to get the curve at the top and it does not. It is all metal.
