I am thinking about building a louver press. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in having some louvers punched. I would charge $1.50 each for a 3" louver. It will be capable of punching rows up to 7 feet long. I am located in northern middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky area. I build custom cars and do any kind of custom metal work.

Post a reply if anyone may be interested in some louvers.
    Thanks

My press has a 50 inch throat, could not believe the flex involved! My frame weights about 1000#, built in the ship yard. Looks like over kill, can't imagine one that will do 7 feet. Have you done this before? Please xplain.....OLDBEET

It will have a 48" throat. Punch them forward and then flip the dies around 180 degrees and then punch backwards.

I did an insert panel for the roof of my Model A Sedan. It was about 70" long. It has 384 louvers.

    from u.k.

do you have any pics of that? im thinking about doing the same for my A sedan, as it already has louvered ally hood sides.

but i wasnt sure about how it would look, or the practicalities of it, id probably have to make it double skinned(it rains quite a lot over here)
