I haven't been to the nationals for 22 years and nothing much has changed. There are great cars, good car, bad cars and then there are some that make you want to wash out your eyes with battery acid. Thanks for taking the time to shoot and post so many nice photos, Desoto.
Thanks for the pics! The torino club allowed for a look at something diffrent. (Check out the ugly/cool big red wagon in that line up of cars) Some of the later 70s and early 80s big ugly cars are starting to grow on me more and more these days because they help bring back memories from "my" youth and they are something diffrent to look at rather than your given, everything 72 back cool stuff.
Thanks for taking the time to share those with us. You did a nice job getting good, clear shots. The '29 Phaeton on the last page is mine, I saved it and used it as my avatar. It was nice talking to you at the hotel across from the grounds...I've admired your sedan for many years.
Hey Desoto, That old sedan of yours has been around a long time. I remember seeing it in Louisville, Ky. back in the 60's at the old Armory downtown at one of the 1st car shows in Louisville. I think there were about 12 cars present. What a trip down memory lane. Thanks for posting the photos, didn't make it to the Nationals this year, my granddaughter got married.
Wasn't me in Louisville back then. First trip to Louisville with the car was to the Nats in '88. Took both cars that year (the '34 and my '48 Chrysler)
