louder... LOUDER!

    so i got the original 215 engine in my 52 ford customline.

    i cut the muffler out and just have straight pipes...

    what can i do to get a better sound out of it?...

    wanna get a good rap without glass packs and what not

    someone said fenton headers? but i can find any for my car....

    i know i know its just a straight 6... but still ive heard some pretty good soundin straightsixes...

    any help would be appreciated.

    I think it has something to do with how the exhaust manifold is split. At least that is what I was told regarding my 216 in my Fleetline. AKA "Bettie Bomb".

    wow where in the valley you guys from?? I'm from sun valley but got stationed in Texas.

    do your pipes go all they way to the back? mine only go to about halfway under the car it may just be me bu it def sounds better, louder then when it was all the way to the back.

    i dont know of anyone personally but i think rebel rodz did a tech article on it this last issue with ian roussel of v818, lemme go see if i can find it
     
  7. Get someone to split your stock exhaust manifold in two and welding another outlet unto other piece. Whoever welds it must but it in an oven over nite to bring the temp. down slowly to keep it from cracking. I've seen some that were brazed and they did not crack. You'll like the sound when you wind that 6 out.

    I hang out in Receda and Northridge. Yea, my pipes go all the way back, where I put some Harley fish tips at the end. But, I think you get the best rap with Fenton headers.

    !n my experience:cool:, the longer pipes, the better "rap". And you need a splitted manifold! Use of fishtails would encrease the rap even better!!
