A member of my church, Buster Hood and his wife were in their '30 model A,( I believe it was their 5 window, they also have a tudor) at a show in Savannah, Ga. this past weekend. Details are a little sketchy, but they were t boned, she flew out of the car, may have a broken pelvis and internal injuries, is in a chemically induced Coma right now. He was released today, had a plate and screws in his jaw. They won't release the car yet, don't know what condition the car is in. Buster is in his 70s. He owns 2 30/31 model As, 5 window and tudor, 55 pontiac and a 55 chevy he bought new. He likes them "like Henry made 'em" dead nuts stock, and they drive them EVERYWHERE. They drove down with their model A club for the weekend. He is staying in a friend's condo in Savannah for now. When I find out more about the car/ plans, I'll post more.
I hope she makes it.. and on the car.. so what.. without the people behind the wheel the car is just another car...
sorry to hear about this. driving antique cars is not the safest hobby. do you have any pics of the car, pre and post crash?
Apparently he broke his left arm, severely bruised his right and cracked a few ribs and broke his jaw.. She broke ribs on both sides, broke her pelvis, punctured lungs, and a big gash on her head. She didn't come out of the car until it was almost stopped. They were hit by a full size Ford van.
