I lost mine to cancer going on 30 years ago. To this day he still comes to me in my dreams particularly when I am stressed about something. I was seventeen when he died but in that short time he left a lasting impression o me. I gues that may be what is meant by an after life. Our thoughts are with you.

Your Dad might not have been a big named car builder but every one of us that mess with these old cars have a guy like your Dad that was the most important teacher we had.
My Condolences to you and your family.

Condolences. I lost my Dad in April. Suddenly.

The two things (so far) that I miss the most are the ass-chewings and the hugs. Nothing can replace either one of those from your Dad.

I hope that you get to hear from others who knew him well, just what he meant to them. At my Dad's funeral, hearing kind words from many of his friends helped me deal with his death more than anything else. It helped me realize that his death was a loss for everyone he knew - not just me.

    Take care.

Thanx again guys, I really appreciate the thoughts. I find myself replaying in my mind all of these memories that I haven't thought about in a very long time. This together with Barney's passing really threw me for a loop! Services are the day after court for Harvey's Broiler -( harveys razed post) which would be Thursday, 9:00am San Gabriel Mission, That day is going to be hard.

I am sure he was very proud of the excellent job you have done. He was famous! He created the "Saviour of CYCLONE"!!!-Sololobo/Roadburners of Omaha

Hey guys, have you ever had to do a eulogy?
My sister asked me to do it like an hour ago for the funeral service tomorrow. I am not a great or even good speaker and crowds make me nervous.
I don't have anything prepared & it's like 5 min. I thought that one of my dads friends could do it, I'm not sure if I'm up to it?
