Mark was by best friend and cruisin buddy, he was in good health and passed instantly by a severe heart attack. Mark was a lowrider/hotrodder till the end. The last couple years of his life were a little rough, going through a divorce he DID NOT want. More recently he was exited of the posibility of getting his house (and more important, garage) back so we could get busy finishing his 55 Chevy p/u project. Mark was a master at colorsand and buffing, he saved many of my paint jobs with his talents.
Mark spent alot of time here on the HAMB, mainly in the classifieds. I would get a call from him "at least" once a week telling me to check out a car that we could both only dream about. He loved going out to El Mirage helping out and watcing the races. We are gonna dedicate our 2011 race season to his memory. I have accepted death as a fact of life and it "usually" doesnt phase me. After getting the call from his daughter yesterday I have not been the same.
I'm sure he's cruising in heaven, RIP buddy!

Man, sorry to hear this. We're all going to lose our hot rodding buddies some day, so it's good to enjoy the times while they are here. Glad to hear you had some good times with him. You're 2011 racing season should be great since you'll have some help from above! RIP.

Sorry to here that... Seems to be something we are all dealing with on a daily basis around here these days. I wish anything I could say could help you feel better, but I think you said it all about cherishing the friends we have today while we can...

With your friend Mark's passing, and Willie Buchta's passing last month, this years Elmo meets will be a living memorial to these two, and all the other racers that have gone! R.I.P. Crow. LFFL
