Folks Of Interest Lost another man of the salt

I just read on another board a life time member of the S.C.T.A and racer on the Salt for many years Larry Monreal of Larry's Old Volks Home fame has passed. He ran motorcycles, belly tankers, and at least one VW on the Salt. Taking the fastest Production VW trophy in 1987 at 167.480mph. He won many awards at El Mirage and Bonneville. I did not know him but sad to see another pioneer of the sport go.
