Could someone post info on the track. How long is it and how passes can you make?
How many days do they run the event?

1.5 mile long run length, .9 mile shutdown. You run as many times as you can, all depends on weather and how many people are running. Speed meets are a weekend long, friday for tech, saturday and sunday for racing. We are still here, leaving tomorrow for home. We went good this weekend, 154mph on a turbo, nitrous 1966 bsa 650 and 121mph on our naturally aspirated 650 bsa.

Nice shot of our bike, Thanks for posting that up John!

I look like I need a little bit of a diet there though.

All you can say about Loring is that it is long, wide, and smooth, and what else could you need.

Good people there in "the county" - were GREAT hosts.

Outstanding event, a big thank you to all who worked so hard to organize and implement it.

Thanks for posting your pictures John. Now I don't have to post mine. Your's pretty much mirror the ones I took on Saturday.

My grandson and I had to head home Sunday AM, so we didn't see any of the action on the second day. From my perspective, it looked like a very successful, first time event. I sure hope they can get more dates next year. Well worth the ride up from the Cape. Great venue too. Didn't hear any complaints from the racers about anything. Everyone had huge smiles on their faces.

A special thank you to all those competitors from "away" (CA, TX, KY, FL, OH, IA, TN, GA, SC, NC, VA, NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH and any that I have missed) who participated in adding yet one more new chapter to land speed racing and opening the door to a fast new future. The hard work and sacrifices made by the members of ECTA and LTA deserve our most sincere respect. In providing yet one more venue to those of us in search of speed, they have created real opportunity. All communities have naysayers, village explainers, and small minds and land speed racing is no exception. For two days, in remote Maine, people had fun, made new friends, went fast and broke down many barriers. Again to those who have made it possible and opened a door to the future a heartfelt thank you from a few of us who went fast and made history.

Land Speed Racing comes to Maine! Who'd a thunk it? What a great success and venue at Loring. We were just spectating and met some of the nicest folks on the teams and in the audience. I couldn't believe some of the speeds that were being announced! Can't wait to be there again. Here's some more pix for the forum. Hiboy32, Spruce Head, Maine
