    Hello HAMBers,

I am an old school photographer. That means I shoot black and white film.
I am also a huge hot rod fan. I am looking for some good shooting locations where I can find
real project vehicles just waiting to be resurrected.

I want to document the vehicles in salvage yards around the Central/South Texas area. I am in San Antonio. This is for a project that I plan on printing in large format using historical processes.

Can anyone direct me to some good locations where I can photograph some vintage vehicles?
I'd also be interested in any cool vehicles just sitting in someone's field if you know the property owners, so I don't get shot.

    Thanks,

    Oz

    Hellfish,
Thanks for the heads up on Owens. I'll try and get up there some day. It's not really a day trip for me from San Antonio, but it looks like it would be worth the trip.
    Treb11,
I will definitely get by John's soon. Thanks a lot for the tip.

As I am shooting this project, I will try and keep this updated.

If anyone else has any tips, please keep em coming.

My plan for this will be to eventually have a show somewhere. I did receive a PM regarding a book.
Do y'all think there might be enough of a market for a book on this? If so, what do you think that book would look like?

On your way to or from Owens you definitely need to drive Hwy 114 west of Graham. Fella there has a huge yard with mostly old trucks and pickups. Lined up along the highway for about a mile.He was even featured on American Pickers.

Well worth it. Plus you can check out North Star Dragway and the North Texas Kartway on the same property north of Denton off west side of I-35.
