I bet that thing pissed off the gold chainers , and pro touring guys.
I thought I'd add to this old thread with some pics I took at my cousins 65th b-day. He pulled his Nova out after a very long garage nap. Yes that's a velvet touch roof, fire wall and gas tank!
Photo removed because it wasn't in the spirit of this thread.
come on guys lets keep this one rollin...............not all "gassers" really are..........
Sure it's a 1/24th scale but, it would be 1:1 if the lottery came my way pronto!

Id build a clone of Hubert Platts Strip Tripper 65 falcon drag car if I had your car
I see this thread came back up, so here is an update on my Street Freak almost a year later... I had a little delay due to taking on a new job and relocating all of my junk to Illinois, that was quite an ordeal! Anyway, I now have it registered and licensed in Illinois I am getting closer to terroizing the streets of Chi Town! Here are a few progress shots a couple of current photos and the Car Craft cover for reference.
Not much, a few times around the block, still has bad gas in the tank and needs brake work.
Here is my 55 I bought over the summer.
I love the paint job on this Vette!
I really like to turn my Chevy II Wagon into a Street-Freak, it would make me feel like a teenager once again
I love the HUGE rear tires hanging out the sides, jacked up, noses slammed ........... it was my time!
This looks a lil' like the Jim Oddy gasser in the latest TRJ.
As a "paper hoarder", which mag did this come from??? This 'bird made a small appearance in a Car Craft Drive-Inn USA article from the early seventies!!
