    I know it's a long shot, but I'd like to find my dad's 1933 Chevy 4 door.
He sold it in the early 1980's. He thinks it went south, either Alabama, Louisiana , or Mississippi. His memory is fuzzy. It sold from an add in the NSRA Street Scenes magazine.
The car was purple with black fenders. Dual side mounts with aluminum slots. It has an aluminum trunk on a rear luggage rack.
The interior was very 70s. Light purple shag carpet with black vinyl diamond button tuck seats.
It had a wicked 283 with a powerglide.
    Any help is appreciated.

Thats a cool build, those 70's builds were very nice, on really good complete cars.

My guess would be it got "billeted" in the 80-90's. Lot of the 70's builds evolved with the trend. May be unrecognozable now. Do you have more details in suspension, Drivetrain etc. Hard parts that may have survived a pastel monochrome 80 overhaul?

I wish you luck in the search.

I’m searching for more info. I’ll be able to get the VIN from my dad and will try a VIN search. I’ll see if my dad can remember more unique mods on the car.
I was 7 or 8 when he sold it so my memory is a little fuzzy.

it likely has been changed but I hope it was ignored like a lot of other 4 door cars.

It might get easier to track if you ever find what State it ended up in when your Dad sold it. I found out my old Chopped 37 Chevy ended up in Connecticut but had no name or specific location. I posted a series of Craigslist ads with pictures in different Connecticut cities in their Wanted Section. It took a couple years and a lot of dead-end leads but I eventually found the owner. We kept in touch and almost another year later he sold the car back to me. Good luck, I am sure your Dad would love to know about his car again.
