I am looking for images of Billy Gibbon's 50 Shoebox Ford, otherwise known as The Copperhead... (sorry that's "Kopperhed") please post any images you have here... Thanks.
Here's the Hot Rod magazine article: http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/42141_1950_ford_five_window_coupe/photo_01.html
The only 'Copperhead' pickup I'm familiar with is the one Stacey David of 'GEARZ' television show did on a Chevy truck. It was fairly clean, simple, and just glowed in the copper color paint he chose. I LOVE the trucks he builds!! (well, never very fond of the Ted Nuggent Bronco he's done up twice). Nitro-Nicky
I definetly do not know my old fords. I had glanced at his picture of the ford truck with the copper colored paint job and it just reminded me of the Stacey David 'Copperhead' build (which happens to be a truck). Have you ever viewed it or any of Stacey's old school builds he's been doing on TV over the years? Trucks are usually my favorite and that Ford the original poster: 'Rough Stock' has is Beautiful!!!!! Nitro-Nicky
The B-pillar drives me nuts on that car. I think it should have had a slight arch, instead of being straight. To me, the doors look like two front door halves welded together....maybe it is ? Great car though, just like all of Billy's cars. That is the only fault I can find with it. I'm probably just jealous.
I really like the fact that it has a bull nose ... how often would you find that on a custom taken as far as this one! Nice touch ... unique!
I remember when this car was in Hot Rod in '96, I was 11 years old and In love! Still have that issue somwhere.
