Just thought I'd post up some progress of the shoebox. Also, I was wondering if anybody has a good pair of 49' water pumps for sale?

    Nice chop,
I have some water pumps off of a running motor.
The classifieds is probably the place for this.
anyhow send me a message if you want the water pumps

You can actually get the water pumps from O'reilly Auto parts. My ex boss got them there for his '39. In my opinion, you never want to scrimp on the water pumps, on any engine. It isn't worth it to risk burning up your engine. Just my 2 cents. I like the chop, it has a real good profile to it. How much did ya'll take out?

ah...man....I gotta see if I can buy my old shoebox back. the guy hasn't touched it since he bought it, it's been sitting at my buddies house since I sold it to him3 or so months ago......

As far as the water pumps go, dennis carpenter has them. I'll check my speedway catalog too, I think I saw them in it too.

The ones that Speedway has are the new updated design. They use bearing that should make them last a lot longer. Fab32 and I saw a flatty last week that was destroyed by a bad water pump. The right side head got so hot it burned the paint of it. Prolly destroyed the block too. A good reason to run 2 temp gages I would say. After seeing that engine, I'm goona put two water temp gages on mine.
