Back in 1967 or 1968 {Dad and I cant pinpoint the exact year} my dad sold his 1932 ford 3 window coupe.

I'm 61 now and my dads 84.I was about 8 years old when Dad sold his car.threw the years I grew up, and into my adult years we talked about this car often. Mainly was the regret for selling what today is a very valuable car.but every car guy that I talk with has at least one car he wishes he didn’t sell. Back somewhere during the 80s dad ran a add his local paper trying find out what happened to this car.he received no leads or responses from that inquirery. The car was originally sold to a couple of guys that lived in Watertown Wisconsin. After that car left his driveway in 1967,neither one of us has seen or heard of that car since. Considering that Watertown is only about 15 mile away, seems a little odd.makes me think of 1 or 2 possibilities, #1 it never made to the road and it may reside in some garage in Watertown, or #2 it could have got sold to someone out of wisc.since then we we'nt in the internet age yet at that time, the odds of going out state is lower than it would be as would if this happened todays world. I don’t think it ended up in the scrap yard, even in 1967 it was too valuable of a car.it was sold in 1967 for 500.00,and at that time that was a lot of money. I think the main goal that we're trying to accomplish here is for both my Dad and I is to solve the mystery to what happen to this car and who owns it now and what does it look like

Car was 32 Ford 3 window coupe,32 frame, front of frame done in a suicide style, Dad said it was Z in rear had a 371 1957 olds motor with a tri power carbs.dad bought a real nice 53 olds convertible just for the 3 speed side shift transmission, so he could put a 3 speed Hurst shifter in it. He don’t remember too much on floors, but I would expect that it probably just had some sheet metal just laying on floor

In closing, I heard of a few good old car stories in my years with old cars and I think this would rate as a good story, especilly if we could have a happy ending to this story. Dad and I just hope that there's someone out there that has some info or knowledge on what happened to this car. Thanks for taking the time to listen to my story…

Oh please! Please have more pictures like these.

Surely someone in that town remembers such a unique car. Facebook history groups? Town hall? Retirement homes? I would make a list. A local or regional newspaper is a good start.

My buddy is still looking for his Dad's car. Someday we'll know....

I did get those pictures off one of the internet sights. I have been trying to find it to see if there was any information on where the car was from. I haven't had any luck yet. If I find out any information I will let you know.

Found it . The add said it was from Dayton Ohio and the pictures were taken between 1964_66. Here's a couple more pictures. The guy who posted it said this was his dad's car also. FB_IMG_1616975647554.jpg FB_IMG_1616975635708.jpg FB_IMG_1616975622312.jpg FB_IMG_1616975578698.jpg

@40ragtopdown, you mentioned ad...is it for sale? If I was Dale and the price was within reason I'd grab it turn the Key and go and wouldn't change a thing...

If they ever did find his Dads Coupe they could purchase it and sell the other...Life is short...

I like the gas cap on top of the driver side quarter...it's truly a looker of a Hotrod...thanks for diggen' up the history...priceless...;)

I said ad I meant post . The post said he finally developed these slides that he had forever . They were taken between 1964_66 so doubt they know the whereabouts of the car. But you never know.

Once again, real old black-n-white (& color) pictures show what REAL Hot Rods were really like in real life...... Not magazines or the internet wanna-be-police.

Dale, if you have any more pictures of the car, please post them. It is a true representation of a real world Hot Rod.
