It's driving me nuts. Tried everything I could think of with the search function an haven't come up with what I'm looking for. The subject/title of the thread was something like early 50s cars as hot rods (or something like that). I seem to remember it being pretty long. There were lots of shoeboxes, Olds coupes, and 49-54 Chevys. Anybody know what thread I'm talking about? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm snooping fot ya... I will add as I find candidates... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/what-is-a-real-hotrod.978322/

Thanks for the effort. Great threads guys, but not the thread I was thinking of. The one I'm thinking of featured cars that are more often thought of as custom material, but were hot-rodded instead. There were lots of photos and some really badass cars. Like I mentioned there were a lot of Ford Shoeboxes and 49-54 GM cars, among others. I haven't seen it in a while but it was a good one.
maybe this one? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/early-50s-cars-as-hot-rods-not-customs-gallery.620684/
