Putting a floor in my 32 Ford 5 window. It's a gutted interior. trying to see what a restored bare interior should end up as. Like braces? Is the a seperation between back of seat and the trunk? Any pictures of a bare interior will be appreciated. Got this far.................
'32's didn't have a divider between the seatback and the trunk other than upholstery. I chose to add a plywood bulkhead between the package tray and the floor which then is covered with sound-deadening material. JimSig
An old guy who made my coupe from several others cars. He put upright braces and angle braces under the belt line under the back window. He had seen coupes split at the belt line from vibration. So far so good. After 16 years.
I heard those called "coupe cracks". Do you have any pics showing the exact locations and how they are attached?
I had coupe cracks once. I pulled my pants up all the way and tucked in my shirt when squatting down and it fixed it.
