I just picked up a 50 out of a junk yard that is in nice shape. The first thing I want to do is chop it. I did a search and didnt come up with any info or pictures. I dont want to jump into this blind. If any of you out in HAMB land have pictures and some info to point me in the right direction. I would be for ever greatful. I dont want to send it back to the junk yard because I screwed up the top:eek::rolleyes::D.

    Thanks all

Search: Chopped Shoeboxs, and you will find what you are looking for. Good Luck (I am in the same boat).:D

First thing is "don't chop it"
Fix the rust, give yourself a good foundation to work with, first. Fix the rot in the floors, rockers, etc, so you have a strong body that won't flex, twist of sag when you cut the roof off. Then brace it up, and do your chopping.
