HAD! I still have mine in a glass case at Dad's house. I keep thinking I will bring it home one day but it is where it has always been, so I think it is at home.

Pretty sure that's the owner, Richard Peters. There was an extensive thread about his name (and existence) a few weeks ago.

 

LOL, I have the Hot Wheels version sitting on my monitor right here in front of me at work along with the SO-Cal belly tank.

 

The real life "Ala Kart"! What a treasure. I love that the old paint and striping is on the back of those drums. This story is WAY better than that thread awhile back about a possible find of the "Kopper Kart" in the woods!

It's amazing thas car survived and became available to be restored to its former glory. I visited Ron Mangus' shop while Sam's Merc was there.

Can't wait to see the progress on this one. I saw Sam's Merc at Paso and that thing was hard to walk away from I couldn't stop looking at it.
