Decided to finally bite the bullet and get serious about redoing Grandpa’s truck. New wood, new paint, overhaul the L6, etc. Upgrade the rear axle, transmission, brakes, the old way... find a newer wreck and do some parts swapping.

Truck was last licensed in 1974. Last ran in 1994. Was always a truck: kids, cows, firewood and towing boats. Spent 20 years in the barn as a potato storage bin.

Hi & welcome. What part of the country are you located as some of us may be nearby. I recently purchased a 50 Plymouth Deluxe with the flathead 6 engine. You could try Roberts Motor parts as they specialize in the older Mopar stuff https://www.robertsmotorparts.com/ . I picked up some of my needs there. You can just google 1949 Dodge truck parts and find other sources.
