Thanks everyone. So what I thought would be a quick job sure wasn't.. I worked my ass off getting all the stainless and chrome back on. Every time I thought everything looked good something bugged me. SO after a full day of adjustment I think I am happy. My painter, Kyle Martin came over again and he did more color sanding. Trying to make sure she shines for GNRS. I even got to drive her around a little today. Felt good.

Awesome all the way, most proud of your restraint by using the classice modest colors combo to knock it outta the park. Your workmanship is benchmark sweet. Congrats on a instant classic custom build. You have joined the uber cool builders club!! ~sololobo~

Restrained, classy, yet sinister. Just the way a Buick should be...

Now that is one really really fine looking Buick. Did you mortgage your house and sell your kids to pay for the beautiful chrome job?

    Came out looking very nice...

There were a few things you did that I wouldn't have, but it's not my car and there's no sense berating you with my sense of what it should look like.

    Ya done good...!!!

Flat Roy, I don't have any kids that I know of. That's why I could afford it. I just had to sell one of my kidneys.

1951Streamliner, Thanks and if you are at a show make sure you come talk to me.

40StudeDude, Thanks I would like to know what you would do. That's why I did this post. To learn and get other car guys that I respect opinions.

Again THANKS everyone. It goes to the upholsterer Dec 4 then I will have more new pics.

Here's a couple shots of whats under the hood. I pulled the straight eight out to make it a little more reliable and I put a chevy 350 with a turbo 350 trans.

Absolutely great car. I'm not sold on the scoops, but you were right to choose one or the other concerning the scoop/portavent deal, and I think Kustoms are about the individual's personal choices. The chop, rear end treatment and colors are fantastic. Great taste and restraint. Reminds me of another green and white car here. You should be very proud.

Man that is a beautiful car. The hood scoops take away from the lines (IMHO) but other than that I dig it.

  25. Well man I must say you did a excellant job on your Buick . Those colors work very well together . I havent a clue on my Buick color yet . I think I have some time yet LOL . I am thinking of Painting my inner fenders a white like the Kustoms of the 50 to try and keep the car period correct . I will say again excellant job . Andy..
