Lonestar Round Up 2010 - Registration is OPEN!!!

Damn... Called the ausin motel today and I was about a day and a half too late for a room during the round up... Let me know if anybody who got a room there cant make it...

Need to make reservations. I might stay off Congress though since my wife is pregnant and we might want to take it easy.

 

I camped out in front of the Austin Motel on NYE and still didn't get reservations. Did meet some great people...its becoming a NYE tradition...second year in a row for no reservations.

 

Under pressure...... ride or no ride im there.

 

South-Austin group will be there!!!!!! Yeeeee-Hawwww

 

This gives me 94 days to get my truck back together. I'm down!

 

Allegedly.. Captain Fancy Pants will be there .. its just a hollywood rumor though..

 

if its any consolation - its hard for us to get any rooms there either, and we put the show on... but they are a small local motel with no computerized reservation system - so they go quick, and theres an element of luck to being able to snag one there - part of the charm/adventure of it.

 

what other hotels do you guys stay granted congress is the coolest place but I'd like to find one where people from the show are at. I've stayed in between off I35 and 183 but few cars there, kind of the half way point of congress and the show

 

hope to make the drive again this year!!!

 

There's a Super 8 Motel on 183 near the expo center and a Holiday Inn Express on 71 halfway between the show and Congress..

 

Already booked a room .6 miles from Congress. This will be my first time to attend.

 

I really need to get on the reservations asap. I wanted to do what those Hellion boys did which is rent a house on the lake. That'd be cool for sure!

 

I would recommend looking for a room ASAP - I booked a room @ Homestead Suites Monday night for $64.00/night and told a buddy about it - Tuesday night he went to reserve a room @ the same place and the price jumped to $149-169 per night. Guess they realized what week-end it was.

 

there is a laquinta inn on oltorf and ih35. we stayed there last year and it was tits. nothing but old cars in the parking lot. lotsa cool people there. 89.00 a night. i just reserved my rooms last monday. it's about 5 mins from congress, and there is a bada ass little mexican joint next door......

 

I'll be there for sure. Glad I've got friends that live 10 mins from downtown...

 

We will be there hopefully the falcon is done if not it might be rivi time. Can't wait we always look forward to this each year to get our butts out of this shop and have some fun with our cars. See ya'll there.

Terry....that would be Four if your half assed serious about the coupe. Make that 5....I think Shane felt left out.

 

Now I have a deadline to get my pickup going...Hope to make it again this year.

 

I am going again but as a spectator one more year, I will do my darndest to drive the '42 in '11! guthriesmith is my motivation, he always drives something Kool, know where the boys get it! Now Smith, have you looked into transportaion back in case another dedicated buyer finds you again?
