  19. Great pics Tom. Re your engine, ya get it fixed? Maybe rocker studs are pullin out if not screw in type. Just a thought. Have had it happen 2 me.

  20. 'Sent the heads to a different machine shop, they put in screw-in rocker studs and pushrod guide plates. I also found that the original pushrods were not the correct length. It's all good now!

    Good news Tom, glad you found somebody to fix it right.:):cool:
    I just took BGII down off the stands yesterday after installing a new Hurst Competition Plus shifter to replace the worn out used one I put in year before last when I changed transmissions. Shifts much better now, and I've cured my oil leak also.
    Drove it around a bit yesterday and when I nailed it I scared myself on those rock hard old Coker bias plies whn I caught a hard second gear, broke loose and got sideways, LOL!:eek::confused:
