Hot Rods LOKAR 350 shifter on 700R4

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by deeppurple52, Nov 15, 2016.

  1. I am upgrading from a TH350 to a 700R4. Can I adapt my LOKAR 350 shifter to work with the 700? I haven't pulled it yet to investigate. Anybody done this?

You may be able to order the shift pattern part and specific mount parts only. See their web site for part numbers.

I bet it will work. Probably won't be able to get manual low gear.

Exactly. Call them. There is no need to rig it up. Just do it right.

  6. Yup, they will sell you just the piece you need for the right detent spacing

Just did this a few months ago. 350 brackets will work with a little tweaking($0). Bought new detent plate (or shifter gear plate)from Summit ($15). Found shifter knob on ebay ($10).

Total cost less than 1/4 of what Lokar wants for conversion kit.
