Features Local reporter does a story about Brenda's wagon

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Nov 15, 2013.

  1. We had a local reporter call last Saturday and ask Brenda about doing a interview with here about the wagon.

All in all he did a pretty good job, just a few mistakes but we were pleased with the piece and amazed how many photos he used.

This is the online article,,mostly photos.

    and the video,,,

This is what was published in the newspaper.,,really amazing how many photo's he posted. HRP

Great exposure, HRP. If that video was in B&W, it would be like an ad for the Dinah Shore Ford Show.:D Yea, she'd rename it.

My first car was a '54 Ford Business Coupe. It had 3X2's and an Isky cam, and Chevy truck mufflers w/no tail pipes. It sounded great but my buddy with a '55 Chev 265 2bbl carb beat me. That was about 1960. That is a great looking wagon, love to have one.

Thanks for posting this story Danny. That's a great thing you did for Brenda. I'm sure it was a lot of hard work, but a labor of love for your long time love. Hope y'all enjoy the old '54 for many more years to come. It's not just an old family relic, but a treasure, as it surely brings back good memories for Brenda about her granny. :)

So tasteful. That car will never go out of style.

  28. Well, having seen her car first hand, I can see why he wanted to do a story on it. You did a fantastic job on it Danny, especially considering the condition it was in before you started. Brenda has right to be proud of it. I especially like the color combo, something I probably wouldn't have thought of. My dad used to have a 55 2door Ranch Wagon when I was growing up. We had a lot of good times in the old girl,I'd like to have that one back also.

  29. .

    Congrats on the coverage Danny.

I've got a soft spot for '54 Fords and miss my old Vicky a lot.

Your wagon is one of the best 54's around. Llve that thing.

    .

  30. Thank you guys,,Brenda & I appreciate the accolades!:) HRP
