found this little diamond in the rough yesterday I think all it needs is a little flat black paint ans some red wheels the really scary thing is someone was racing this thing at one time. btw I didnt really buy this it was on a trailer in a parking lot here in town and I couldnt resist snapping a few pics.
On the good side, with the solid mounted front axle at least he won't have bump steer.. There is so much wrong with this it's almost scary to just look at. My favorite is the steering setup, the pitman arm bend, almost touching the frame and the excellent bracing. But he's got disk brakes and coil springs in the rear, must drive pretty well... wow.
I get sick just looking at those pics. I hope that thing was on its way to the scrapyard. I can't find one thing on that abomination that the "builder" did that's remotely safe or reflects any knowledge of cars.
That thing is just so wrong on so many levels. Steering, suspension (or lack thereof), roll bar, frame ... It's like a rolling "epic fail." I seriously doubt there is a sanctioning body on the planet that would let that thing pass through tech inspection.
Vicsrods,,you kicked out one sweet ride,,I tell ya. I've only got 10 thousand to buy it,,wish I had enough! Maybe you'd finance?
Here's the rub, the ad would read, 'z'd frame; relocated battery; custom rollbar; coilspring rear; frame bracing; disc brakes; ladderbars - ready to drop in your motor and trans'.
Well............ummm.........ummm............Crap if you can't say nothing nice dont say anything...........................No wrong, wrong, wrong!!!!
That is the biggest pile of shit I have seen in a while. Just a waste of time and energy imho. Some people should really consider their actions when it comes to building cars or at least seek professional help or advice from either a local Hot Rodder who is known for building quality stuff or their family Doctor to make sure they are OK!!!!
You guy's shouldn't be making so much fun of someone's "barn find that they are going to restore" . I can't believe that someone would want to be seen hauling it, that is just scary!
Now Philip that is the latest build to come out of my driveway!!! Do you have any idea as to how long it took me to get all of that ugly on one car?!? I am really digging the geometry of the cross braces in the frame. I just hope it was some 13 and 14 year old kids just playing around building them a farm cart out of something that grand pa had out in the back 40. And when grand ma found out about it she made them give it away!!!!
There isn't a sanctioning body that would allow that to pass tech for any amount of bribe... I'd give a few bucks for tha cab, then trash the rest... r
