Projects Little update on my 1950 F1

    I tried oiling the cylinders for three weeks but the old flathead just wouldn't budge. In fact the top of two pistons broke off on their way out. My Merc flathead is all machined up, just waiting for a new front main seal (non-rope style) from Mac's and then it gets assembled.

    I gutted the interior and all the wiring. I'm getting the gas tank resealed and I'm putting in an entirely new 12V harness and some amenities like blinkers and a hidden iPod stereo. Plus I just talked to a guy who removed a dropped axle and leaf springs from his F1 in favor of a Mustang II and I'm going to buy that setup from him. Here's what's going on now. I'm shooting to have it running by winter and driving by Autorama in March.     Looks good! I like my 50 chevy pickup, but my 50 ford is by far my favorite.. Alot less of them running around
