Folks Of Interest little OT, but Brian Setzer on TV tonite

sorry to be off topic, but i like when someone alerts to something on TV

if you can take the show dancin with the stars on ABC, the Brian Setzer
Orchestra is supposed to preform on tuesdays show

 

What channel(station) and when?

 

Setzer kicks ass and has some great cars...don't know if I can stomach a bunch of has beens doing the foxtrot

 

Oops... I can really read more than five words...

 

Can you imagine? A bunch of tough-guys, hard-nosed car guys watching Dancing with the Stars, all saying, "Really honey, I'm just watching it for the band! Honest!"

Sure. Like saying, "Honest, I'm just reading Playboy for the articles!"

Seriously.. thanks for the heads up. Brian Setzer is amazing.

And oddrodgarage: I doubt if Setzer and his band will play a slow foxtrot.

 

That's true...but what about the other 55 minutes when Brian and the Band aren't on there...by the way there are excellent articles in Playboy or so I have heard

 

That's why I'll use one of them thar new fangled v. c. r. thingies to ree-cord it and watch it later to zip though all that fancy-schmancy toe-twistin stuff.

God that show SUCKS but I'll watch just about anything to see Brian play.

I have a shitload of Brian Setzer at home, Live Nude Guitars is one of my favorites... I just work with a bunch of women who cackle about that show constantly...

 

I wish he'd do a tour of his '68 Comeback Special disc. That is one solid Rock'n'Roll album.

I try to run when a couple of them at work start in on that show.
That and all the "idol" and survivor-type stuff.
My life is more than enough "reality" for me and I have the scars to prove it.

Brian lives here in Minneapolis, at least some of the time. I often wonder if I'll ever see him or one of his rides. No luck so far...

 

You sure this is tonight? This show is HORRIBLE.

 

I've never been a Setzer fan, but I listened to about 8 of his songs on youtube based on how good you guys were saying he is... nope... still don't like him LOL... it was worth a shot though...

I'm curious to know which song he plays for the dancing with the stars show. I'll bet it's "jump jive and wail" (cringe), or "rock this town tonight" (cringe again)... be sure to post!

Well, first time I saw a BSO performance since Bernie Dresel left. The new drummer just doesnt have it. I didnt expect the BSO to lose so much with Bernie left, but it just proves how awesome of a drummer he is.

 

Rock This Town... Looks and sounds great so far.
