Some of know, that I do a weekly on-line show about stock car racing, called 'Racing Thru History'. Two hours on Tuesday night, it's listened to by all 50 states and over 10 different countries. The show is one of many of the Racers Reunion organization - racersreunion.com - Anyway, they do alot of racing reunions, events, fundraisers and whatnot, and this year, they're actually starting up a vintage oval track series, named the G.O.D.S (Good Old Days Series) Their rules are nothing like other vintage series, you know, everything has to be this big, this length, etc, etc. In a nutshell, you can race any AMERICAN car from 1937 to 1989. You can make modifications like we do on our hotrods, like turning a 4 door into a 2. Must have safe rollbar and your gear. Any 6 or 8 cylinder engine. So they're really lenient. This year, they're racing every weekend at the newly refurbished Shelby NC Fairgrounds, but next year hoping to branch out into other states. Just thought some of you dirt trackers might enjoy watching or racing in it! http://stockcar.racersreunion.com/group/good-old-days-series-g-o-d-s -Cody
