Linda Vaughn - The Hurst Lady

I got her autograph on my hat at the Bakersfield fuel & gas championships about 1969-70. That's the only hat I've ever worn out.

Sounds like a Top Fuel "DORK" to me. That said, I wouldn't lend any credence(sp?) to anything he says....... EVER!

 

She still looks OK for her age, gotta remember what we all thought of her back in the day. She is a "piece" of our hobby's history!

 

I think we all know what the term "side boob" means, but what exactly do you call what we've got goin' on in this pic? Under Jugs? Bottom Melons? The Lower 48? Sounds like it's time to do some research on the Urban Dictionary.

Somewhere I've got an old mag with a picture of Ed McCulloch with Linda Lovelace. If I can find it I'll post a scan. That ought to really class up the joint around here!

 

Linda Vaughn is going to be at Maple Grove for the Geazers at the Grove event on Sept. 5th & 6th. Thats engough of a reason to go. Also Nostalgia Drags. Thats in Mohnton, PA. Grumpy Jenkins will be there also.

Yeah, well there's some of us who actually walk on our hind legs.

Name me one - just one Race Queen who has come on the scene since Linda first exploded on to it - um, er, well er um.

Nobody, but nobody has had the impact, the durability, the class, the intelligence and the affection of millions in the car world that Linda has had and probably nobody ever will again.

Look at the anonymous TatBettie Page wannabe bimbos you get served up today - give me a freakin' break. As for class, like sexy - can't pin it down precisely but I know it when I see it. Linda always has had both in abundance.

Most tellingly it is the ladies who admire and respect Linda - that says it all.

Had the opportunity to meet her at GG Indy early 90's.Very nice lady.Total class and she happens to be,uhh,very attractive!.
I was very impressed when she "spoke" (signing) with a fan who was hearing impaired in line there.The guy couldn't believe it?
She has to be the ultimate promotion person?

Just "found " these after 39 years in old attic box. More at Dover site. It's the 1969 New York City Colusium Custom Show photos by Terry O'Shea . Frank Biscoglio with his "Third Rail" of the Pacesetters Drag Team and Anglia in the Fairfield Timing Association Club display. She never said no to "pose with my car" -class lady.

 

Also posted this one on the Historic Stock Car Photos thread. I found it on another website and remembered it. It's Victory Lane after the Yankee 300 on the Indianapolis Raceway Park road course in 1964. From left to right: Linda, Fred Lorenzen, Crew Chief Herb Nab, and Co-Car Owner Ralph Moody. I had the original and ran it in an IRP program in the 90s. It would still be in my collection if Linda hadn't talked me out of it...

I watched the Nationwide NASCAR race today.

Linda was standing in the background when they were doing a post race interview with Kevin Harvick's wife.

Dressed in black and still displaying her wonderful cleavage. She is starting to show some years.

I met her about 10 years ago for the first time. Saw her again 2 years later and she remembered my name.

Incredible memory. I still think she's a babe !!!

She was on camera a few times during the Legends Saturday Night race from Bristol. Still lookin' good!!!
